Inulin powder is a reserve polysaccharide in plants, a natural fructan and oligofructose. It is mainly derived from the tubers of chicory. The degree of polymerization (DP) of inulin in natural plants is usually 2-60. According to the degree of polymerization, there are different types including short chain, medium chain, long chain, etc. It is a water-soluble dietary fiber.
