    Application

Naringenin has a wide range of applications. At present, naringenin is used in many fields such as food, health care products, and medicine.

    1. Naringenin extract be approved by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for use as a food flavoring.
It can be used as a "flavor enhancer" in beverages and dairy products to enhance the taste of low-sugar beverages, or to mask the astringency of natural sweeteners. Such as juice drinks, fruit wine, oral liquids, etc.
In fact, naringenin itself has no specific sweetness, but it can play a "sweetness synergy" when used in combination with sugar and other sweeteners.
    2. Application in medical research. Existing literature shows that naringenin and naringin show potential as multi-level, multi-target, and multi-mechanism Alzheimer's disease prevention. Naringenin and its aglycones show to have neuroprotective effects on Alzheimer's disease, such as anti-amyloid degeneration and anti-neuroinflammation. At the same time, it can also improve the sugar and lipid metabolism disorders related to the development of AD.
