    Feature

Sclareolide is a sesquiterpene lactone, an organic compound found in sage or other plants. It has a sweet, woody and herbaceous aroma. The products supplied by our company are of natural origin, biodegradable, mild and non-irritating.

Sclareolide powder can be prepared by chemical synthesis or plant extraction. However, sclareolide exists in plants, the content is low and the purification process is complicated, and large-scale extraction is difficult. Therefore, in industry, biosynthesis methods are more preferred for large-scale production.
It is reported that some strains are able to convert sclareol into sclareolide.
