Acanthopanax and ginseng are closely related plants. Systematic studies of the two have shown that Acanthopanax and ginseng have similar pharmacological effects and clinical efficacy. Currently, the research and utilization of Acanthopanax is mainly focused on its roots, stems and leaves. Its roots and rhizomes can be used as medicine.Siberian ginseng root bark contains volatile oil, tannins, linoleic acid, flavonoids, and saponins. The seeds can be pressed for oil for medicinal purposes. The raw material of Siberian ginseng extract is powdery in appearance, has good fluidity, no lumps, no impurities visible to the naked eye, and is easy to preserve.
Acanthopanax senticosus extracts include water extracts and alcohol extracts, both of which have immunomodulatory effects.
