What is Sodium Deoxycholate used for?

    1. Pharmaceutical excipients. Absorption enhancers for skin administration and carriers for some drugs.
This ingredient can improve the solubility of poorly soluble drugs and increase the bioavailability of drugs.
    2. It can be used for biochemical research. SDC can be used for bile lysis experiments. The mechanism is that bile or bile salts have surface activity, which can quickly activate autolytic enzymes and accelerate the dissolution of Streptococcus pneumoniae or other bacteria.
    3. Ionic detergents. Sodium deoxycholate, as an anionic surfactant, can be used to lyse cells and dissolve proteins that are poorly soluble in water.
